Henry Heitman Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants should have ties to the agricultural, ranching and/or rodeo communities.
This scholarship is for those applying to or already accepted into a two or four-year college, trade or vocational program. Trade or degree does not have to be Agricultural based.
Applicants must be residing in Northern California in the areas between Sacramento and the Southern Oregon border.
Applicants may also be, regardless of residence, JPRR contestants and/or children of a JPRR contestant.
Applicants can only receive the Henry Heitman Memorial Scholarship once.
A complete application must be received at the address below by May 2nd, 2025.

Instructions:

Complete the attached application.
Attach official transcripts from all high schools attended.
Include two letters of recommendation by someone other than a relative.
Attach an essay (typed) answering the following questions:
1. Tell us a little about yourself. Please describe your agricultural, ranching or rodeo background, academic focus and future career plans.
2. What impact will this scholarship have on your ability to accomplish your goals and give back to the agricultural or local community?

Selection Information

All applications will be reviewed by the JPRR Scholarship Committee.
Scholarship finalists will be contacted for a follow-up interview with the JPRR Scholarship Committee. Recipients will be notified thereafter.
Scholarship monies will not be distributed until recipients have shown proof of college enrollment beyond the withdrawal without penalty date. It is solely up to the applicants to send the JPRR Committee proof of enrollment prior to the check distribution.
